Wings Over Rockies Museum Redevelopment master plan

The Wings Over The Rockies Museum is based in one of the two historic hangar buildings of the Lowry Air Force base. The Museum was financially challenged since its inception in 1994, after the base closure. The redevelopment master plan creates new uses for underutilized Museum land and assets. These
new uses provide capital for Museum improvements, as well as a16 acres permanent endowment for ongoing operational needs. Phase I is the redevelopment of the Building 408 land into residential lofts (Luce). Phase II uses the land sale revenue from Phase I for initial Museum improvements in Hangar 1 (re-roofing and interior ceiling removal). Phase III is the redevelopment of Hangar 2. Phase IV is a new building between Hangars 1 and 2. Phase V is final Museum improvements in Hangar 1, using the land sale revenue from Phases III and IV.
